Perfect The LEVEL…Not the Destination!

Grace & Peace!

This year holds all the potential of one of the most successful years of your life.  As you traverse through various dimensions and situations, I want to admonish you to PERFECT THE LEVEL…Not The Destination.  It has been said that true perfection is not a destination–it’s really a journey.  And since perfection is only found in God alone, we can live out a never ending fantasy attempting to perfect something that is unattainable without perfecting each level and experience in our lives first.  A parent’s dream of seeing their infant walk will only be realized after the level of rolling over which strengthens the muscles.  Then comes the level of sitting up, then standing while holding onto someone or something else.  After this, you will see the infant walk while holding onto another person or piece of furniture.  All of these steps are necessary in order to reach the ultimate destination which is to walk.

There is a valuable lesson to be learned from the scriptures.  In 1Samuel 17 is the story of David defeating Goliath.  Goliath taunted Israel for 40 days until David spoke to King Saul and told him that he was able to go up and fight the Philistine named Goliath.  David at this time was just a teenager, however, his experience in keeping his father’s sheep taught him to perfect the level and not the destination.  King Saul in 1Samuel 17:33 told David, “Thou art not able to go against the Philistine to fight with him:  for thou art but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.”  King Saul was unable to detect that David knew how to perfect the level of his anointing and could defeat Goliath not needing the destination or 30 years of fighting experience to complete the task.

This is a valuable lesson to each of us.  Even King Saul’s armor was not needed in order for David to win his battle with Goliath.  David knew how to perfect the level and not the destination.  The adversary will often keep you at bay away from your own destiny allowing you to spend days or years perfecting to win a battle ten years from now that God said you could win today!  There is always a respect and need for preparation, education and skill perfecting, however, when the anointing of God rests on you and you know your time, you can win the battle without having every fought in a single war before.

I learned this personally with a praise & worship CD I am about to release.  I kept comparing it to other artists who had extravagant budgets and an industry tenure.  I was attempting perfect the destination and not the level.  Because of this, I delayed the release of the CD for almost two years perfecting, which I thought was good, until the Spirit of the Lord spoke to me and said, “release the CD now.”  The Lord told me you are attempting to perfect the destination of another who has been in the field for years instead of perfecting the level your are on now and allowing the anointing to give the increase.  I could have kept perfecting and that would have benefited the adversary because God said the release of the sound of worship from my spirit would open up the heavens and silence demonic forces.  Now I am moving swiftly to release this project this Spring because I see the principle.

I hope you have enjoyed the lesson and will apply it to your life.  Get out of your closet, get out of fear, get out of the fear of acceptance.  God, the church and the world are waiting on YOU!  Perfect The LEVEL…Not The Destination.

See you next Monday,

DT
